Government Post Graduate College (boys) Satellite Town Gujranwala achieved history many times and proves its purity that it is one in its kind.  There are multiple Labs which deals with different departments like Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics and Biology Lab are well furnished with latest equipmetns. 

This Institute was established in 1955 as Higher Secondary School but later on in 1965 was promoted to Degree College. BSc classes was started in 1967 even though post graduate classes was started in 1986. But Today there are many departments like MSc Physics, MSc Statistics, MSc Economics, MSc Social work, MA English, MA Islamiat and MSc Mathematics are working hardly to achievements. 

BS Honors in different departments like Physics, English, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics and Computer Sciences are now continuing the process of achievements and playing their best role to making the Pakistan proud by producing the best students from this college from 2016. Its been six decades that Government Post Graduate College (boys) Satellite Town Gujranwala is producing rich culture in development and breaking records in education which was led by 37 leaders in the sense of Principle where they put their day and night efforts to achieve it. And now its highly recognizable throughout the whole Punjab in Education Institutes. Students from this college are doing their best in Bureaucracy, Education, Medical, Engineering, Literature and even all field lies in our society. This College been highly recognizable in board and university positions in curricular activities and even performing very well in extra-curricular activities throughout the country and as well as internationally. 

Government Post Graduate College (b) Gujranwala has made exemplary progress and development in many fields in the last few years. A lot of development work has been done while this series of development works is still going on so that the organization can be adapted to the modern requirements. While the organization appreciates the planning efforts and services of its leaders for development works worth crores of rupees, the tireless work and selfless services of the present Professor Dr. Nazir Ahmad cannot be forgotten. He have worked tirelessly to build and develop the organization in a very short time. Along with them, the management and hardworking faculty of the college have turned the youthful passion of the students towards academic, literary, creative activities, oral writing competitions, charitable activities and healthy sports activities.
